Dr. Potts has a 20+ year career history not only in the cosmetology industry, but also in government, including at the college level, as well as honorable Military service, with enlisted time overseas as well as the US, she is eager to continue helping others realize their dreams in the field of Nail Technology.!!!
In 2020, Dr. Potts saw the need to bring light and spread the news of the value of a Nail Tech. license through career paths such as being an entrepreneur, employee, sole proprietor, booth renter, suite lessor, and other structures. In 2020, Dr. Potts created the Center Street Nail Tech Academy, Inc. in Wisconsin because of the need for nail Tech education statewide. Due to many factors, including the need for educational awareness and educational options, in 2023 she has broadened her horizons nationally with the 501 (c)(3) status. The field of Nail Technology is fun and exciting. We are constantly looking for volunteers that are committed to helping others fully enjoy the opportunity of education and family sustainability. Realizing there is a population that is underserved and overlooked. Seeing a need for education in the Nail Tech industry, as well as the individuals that lack basic educational tuition, supplies and food, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We want to thank all of the helping hands in our amazing community! There are many individuals that can benefit from a license as a Nail Tech. There are barriers to education for many students and prospective students: from a lack of support, to waiting for months and years for family, personal and most of all governmental funding. We are in place to help educate at all levels. The cosmetology industry is fun, creative, and family sustaining. It is a multibillion-dollar industry, and should be available to all, regardless of social status and demographic reasons.
The Center Street Nail Tech Academy, Inc. is a vehicle to level the field for those that want to pursue education and training.
From participating in outreach events in the community, to meeting with school officials to educate regarding the benefit of being licensed in today's society, to dispelling myths about the nail technology field in the cosmetology industry, our organization has boots on the ground as well as data to highlight the current, historical, and future projections for Nail Technology.

We are committed to making the maximum positive effort for our Nail Tech community. Our volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions through education that will make a long-lasting difference in a student's life. Starting with eyes wide open and the end in mind, this is Dr. Potts teaching methodology (she also has her 5-year teaching certificate from the WI Tech College system).
Our mission is to empower nail tech students and prospective students with scholarship opportunities, basic school necessities, educational opportunities, as well as educating the population about the benefit of a Nail Technology education and license.
We work daily to bring forth the true value of education, including Nail Tech. life skills. Many times, individuals lack resources, or are not able to capture benefits that they may be qualified for due to not knowing where to turn. We have found that having a clear path, with avenues to study, research, and make good decisions works well. Being comfortable and less stressed and worried affords individuals the opportunity to explores life's options through education.
